About the Word Counter, Keyword Density & Readability
Paste your article to see word count, reading and speaking time, top keywords and phrases, and how easy it is to read.
How it works
Reading time uses 225 words per minute. Readability uses the Flesch Reading Ease formula: 206.835 − 1.015 × (words ÷ sentences) − 84.6 × (syllables ÷ words). Keyword density ignores common stop words.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good keyword density?
There is no magic number. Write naturally; if a keyword is above ~2–3% it probably reads as repetitive.
What Flesch score should I aim for?
60–70 is plain English that most adults read easily. Blog posts often aim for 60+.
