2. Idealistic Chronograph

In the months of heavy engineering, motion designers trumped marketing issues to develop computers with reduced noise, to make them more accurate and easy to operate. The oscillating pinion was developed and patented by Edouard Heuer in 1887, making the chronograph simpler. This project is still used by major manufacturers of the movement today.

The pairs of pinions, stopwatch, chronograph mechanism, and the regular gear trains influence it. The pinion has replaced a more complicated structure, which simplifies manufacturing, installation, adjustment, and servicing while maintaining excellent time and reliability. This advancement has made it possible to produce a lower cost of more mechanical chronographs that sounds like a win.

3. Speedy to Speedier

In 1916, Charles-Auguste Heuer launched the original Mikrograph, another significant technical accomplishment for the brand, and was the first mechanical timepiece to quantify 1/100th of a second. To do this, the movement rate was 360,000 vph – 10 times higher than the chronograph of 36,000 vph, which is usually thought is ‘fast’. In 1920, the original Mikrograph, which served as the official stopwatch for the Olympics, revolutionized the timekeeping of sports.

4. The Carrera

The most iconic models of TAG Heuer are correlated with motorsports and Carrera is the most famous. Soon after taking control of the company from his uncle, Jack Heuer suggested the model’s name.
